ABOUT THE PROCEDURE

BEFORE THE PROCEDURE
Before the procedure, a comprehensive anamnesis of your illness and life – the diseases you are suffering from, the current state of health, the use of medicines, allergy medications, lifestyle, diet, etc. – will be collected. Before the surgery, you will also need to perform certain tests (mammogram, blood tests) – all the details will be explained during the consultation.
DURING THE PROCEDURE
The breast lift surgery is performed using general anesthesia, the surgery lasts from 1 to several hours depending on the size of the breast, and if implants are added together with the breast lift, since that takes longer. During surgery, excess skin is removed and nipples and areas around them are raised (arthritis). This area is formed to create a beautiful breast image. The stitches are usually made around the areola to be less visible.

AFTER THE PROCEDURE
The postoperative phase of the healing process depends on the patient’s personal characteristics and other variable factors. During the first days you are likely to feel pain, the body temperature and swelling can rise up, which will disappear later on.
Typically, a day after the surgery the patient stays in the clinic and medical professional postoperative care is ensured. If everything is going smoothly and you are feeling good after the first day – you can go to the hotel. On the first day you can feel stronger pain which will gradually decrease and later on there will be only an ache. For some time, your breasts will be more sensitive, particularly in the nipple area.
The stitches will be removed and your postoperative health condition will be evaluated one week after the surgery. Further visits to the surgeon will be discussed. If the breasts are dry after the operation, a neutral cream can be applied several times a day, leaving a dry area around the seams. The increased sensitivity of the nipples and breast skin will slowly diminish, but will not completely disappear for half a year after the procedure.
Since the results are visible right after the surgery, no doubt, that the recovery period will be pleasant and certainly will not take long.
Each surgical procedure has a risk of complications that may be associated with anesthesia, infection, bleeding, and swelling. However, these complications are rare and are usually avoided.
